Through the use of a digital workflow, Digital Preset provides the necessary data for presetting the ink fountain keys on any web or sheet fed press print job using the Perretta family of color control products. Data is derived from pre-press image files in the CIP3/CIP4 PPF format.

CLC 2500 Closed Loop Color Control

The color bar reader is a compact roller stand that is installed in the press line just after the last web guide station. The unit contains a bar reader for each web surface as well as sensors that automatically ensure accurate lateral and circumferential tracking of the color bar patches. Simply stated, the color bar reader scans the color bar that is printed on each impression and the resulting image is captured by the image processor.
