CLC 2500 Closed Loop Color Control
|
|
The CLC 2500 data acquisition module is a free-standing unit designed
for easy integration into existing press lines as well as new web
presses. The CLC 2500 can be run in automatic or manual mode. Either
way, the CLC 2500 continues to read color patches and display data
during make ready and throughout the job run.
|
Automated Make Ready Performance
- Windows based user interface and image processor for unmatched
speed and accuracy.
- Starts scanning when ink/water balance is set and form
rollers are down.
- Reduce start up time and waste.
- Precise tracking of color bar provides more accurate data.
- Scan and move keys to SWOP or other preset densities in
3-4 passes.
- Improve quality at start up.
- Real time data reporting through the QAN 2500.
Gray balance output data can be graphically displayed on
the CLC 2500 Graphical User Interface.

Image Analysis versus Measurement
In order to deal with the realities of the printed patch, the Perretta
CLC 2500 uses an area array reader employing special image analysis
techniques. The CLC 2500 captures an image of a color bar patch
and takes 5000 samples from within the area of interest (A.O.I.).
CLC 2500 can discern imperfections within the color bar patch and
compensate for them while a spectrophotometer or other image area
reader cannot. In other words, the CLC 2500 can analyze the patch
rather than simply measure it.
